Nasik, July 28: Incessant rains in the city and all parts of the district for the last two days have inundated several low-lying areas, including the Ram Kunda, on the banksof flooded Godavari river, the venue of the Kumbh Mela scheduled to start on July 30. "All low-lying areas are flooded even as many tents of mahants, sadhus, staying in 'Sadhugrams' here and at Trimbakeshwar have submerged," officials said today quoting reports from Ram Kunda and Trimbakeshwar, 29 kms from here.
Weather office has predicted more rains, creating anxiety for the authorities who are giving final touches to the Mela.
