Ahmedabad, June 23: Gujarat government has successfully completed the raising of Sardar Sarovar Dam height on the river Narmada from 95 mts to 100 mts, official sources said here today. The construction work for raising the dam height by five metres was estimated to take about 40 days, but was completed well "four" days in advance, the sources said. The state government had, in may got a go-ahead from the Narmada Control Authority to raise the dam height. The construction of a three-metre hump will also be completed by July 1, they said.
