Mumbai: Television actress Asha Negi, who has been part of the small screen for almost five years, says the industry is evolving due to the emergence of shows different from the saas-bahu sagas that the audience has been shown for long.
"You get to see a myraid of shows on TV now, and I feel television is not as monotonous as it used to be earlier when it only had saas-bahu soaps. I would say TV industry is growing right now and it is also evolving," Asha told IANS.
Asha, who has done a blend of saas-bahu sagas and reality shows, added: "You have all types (of shows) in TV. You do have saas-bahu shows... I am happy that people are getting to see shows like 'Meri Awaaz hi Pehchaan Hai' and also '24'."
The "Bade Acche Lagte Hain" actress feels "people have started accepting different concepts and content apart from saas-bahu stories. I think slowly and steadily people will accept sensible shows."
