New Delhi, June 11: ICICI OnceSource, the country's leading business process outsourcing providers, has become the first Indian company to get certified to the British security standard 'BS7799' for its security management system. "With the nature of critical information accessible to us, we felt the need to comply to a standard that ensures our clients that their data is secure. BS7799 certification is relevant to any out-sourced model to assure security," ICICI OneSource chief technology officer, Sanjiv Dalal, said in a statement.
The BS7799 certification awarded to the ICICI Bank subsidiary has two parts -- an assessment of best practices and establishment of an information security management system to constantly monitor effectiveness of security controls. "It also safeguards the accuracy and completeness of information and processing methods," Dalal said.
Set up in December 2001, ICICI OneSource is the third largest third-party BPO service company in India with offshore facilities in Mumbai and Bangalore.
