Aamir Khan’s verdict on Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Neerja’

Mumbai: Aamir Khan – the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood – has heaped praise on ‘Neerja’ a film based on brave-heart Neerja Bhanot.

Directed by Ram Madhvani, ‘Neerja’ features Sonam playing the titular role and Shabana Azmi as her mother Rama Bhanot.

Neerja was a purser with the Pan Am Flight 73. She was killed by the hijackers on September 5, 1986 in Karachi. Neerja’s bravery and selflessness saved lives of 360 passengers on board the hijacked flight.

Posthumously, she was honoured with the Ashok Chakra for her bravery, and thus went on to become the youngest recipient of the award.
