Mumbai: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has denied reports of walking out of Anand L Rai's "Manmarziyan", saying he would love to be a part of the film whenever it is made.
Rumours were rife that Ayushmann had abandoned the project, also suppose to be starring Bhumi Pednekar, which seems to have hit a roadblock.
"No, not at all (not opted of the film). In case of 'Manmarziyan', the director changed then I got busy with 'Meri Pyaari Bindu'. Even Bhumi got busy with her next film. The dates were not matching and it got delayed. If we get time in future we should do that film," Ayushmann told PTI.
"Manmarziyan" was announced in January this year with "Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana" director Sameer Sharma, but apparently due to creative differences between Rai and Sharma the latter was shown the door.
Then "Nil Battey Sannata" director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari came on board. The shooting reportedly was to resume in late July but the weather played a spoilsport.
Besides this film, there were reports that Shoojit Sircar's football film "1911" and "Hamara Bajaj" have also been shelved.
Ayushmann was to be seen in "1911" alongside John Abraham and in "Hamara Bajaj" opposite Yami Gautam.
He was likely to play a footballer in "1911" and a struggling actor in "Hamara Bajaj".
"I think both films are not happening. I think at the script level Shoojit da was not happy so we did not go ahead," he said.
