New Delhi: Even on its opening day, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh's 'Banjo' has failed to beat the 8th-day collections of megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 'Pink' at the Box Office. No, we are not kidding.
The Ravi Jadhav directorial managed to mint only Rs 1.72 crore on day one. Whereas, filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's movie collected Rs 3.15 crore on Friday, taking its total to Rs 39.06 crore mark.
Interestingly, 'Banjo' was Riteish's third release in 2016 after 'Great Grand Masti' and 'Housefull 3'. The flick also features Nargis Fakhri and Dharmesh Yelande in important roles.
Here's what Hindi film critic and business analyst Ttaran Adarsh has to say:
#Pink remains STRONG, despite several new releases... [Week 2] Fri 3.15 cr. Total: ₹ 39.06 cr. India biz. EXCELLENT!

#Banjo Fri ₹ 1.72 cr. India biz... Will have to witness massive growth on Sat + Sun for a respectable weekend total.
