Mumbai: He shared screen space with her in "Mary Kom" and actor Darshan Kumar says actress Priyanka Chopra will ace the role as a police officer in her upcoming film "Jai Gangaajal".
Chopra will be seen playing a rough and tough superintendent of police Abha Mathur in the Prakash Jha-directed film.
"She's amazing in each and every avatar. She is very hard working and the police attitude is perfect for her," Darshan told reporters at the red carpet of Stardust Awards here. Darshan will be next seen in the biopic of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian convict, who was beaten to death in a Pakistani jail.
The film, directed by Omung Kumar, features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the role of Dalbir Kaur, while Randeep Hooda plays her brother and Sarabjit, the protagonist. In the film, Aishwarya is going for a complete make-over for her role, sporting a de-glam look with no makeup and simple dressing.
The actor says he could not recognise the "Jazbaa" actress when he first saw her in the de-glamorous avatar for the film. "I couldn't recognise her at first, she is in a different avatar. She's very professional. I saw her and even in the get up she was looking very beautiful."
Darshan will be portraying the role of Khalid Pervaiz, a Pakistani lawyer who fights to secure justice for Sarabjit.
