Washington: Move over Tony Stark, there is a new Iron Man in town and she goes by the name of Riri Williams.
The 15-year-old genius student, who enrolled at the famous technology university MIT years before her time, doesn't have the resources of the billionaire superhero, but has got the smarts to keep up with her ageing predecessor.
With Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr, becoming old, he's been on the look-out for a replacement. So when Riri manages to create her own red suit, the billionaire playboy knows he's found the one.
"And this story of this brilliant, young woman whose life was marred by tragedy that could have easily ended her life, just random street violence, and went off to college was very inspiring to me," Iron Man writer Brian Michael Bendis told Time Magazine, adding "I thought that was the most modern version of a superhero or superheroine story I had ever heard."
The writer also revealed that Riri, who will make her debut in the upcoming 'Civil War II Marvel' comics, may even be smarter than the notorious genius, and that Tony is aware of it.
The increase in diversity comes after Miles Morales was revealed as the new 'Spider-Man' and Jane Foster taking over the mantle and hammer of 'Thor.'
