Mumbai: Director Nikhil Advani has revealed that his next home production "Lucknow Central" is a comedy film.
The film produced under banned Emmay Entertainment will mark directorial debut of Ranjit Tiwari, who has worked as assistant director to Nikhil.
"It is a comedy film. The story is set in Lucknow, it has nothing to do with Lucknow," Nikhil, whose last outing as co-producer of "Airlift" was a hit.
"We have locked the script. We are yet to finalise actors for this film. Work is in progress," the "D-Day" helmer told PTI.
The film will start rolling in November this year. Besides, Nikhil is busy working on his own directorial venture "Bazaar" which reportedly is about power, obsession, a tumultuous relationship between two men and the stock market.
There were reports that Akshay Kumar would be doing the film but he clarified, "It was never suppose to be with Akshay." Earlier, the 45-year-old director narrated the idea to Hrithik Roshan and since work on the script was on, the "Bang Bang" star was apparently yet to take a call.
The film will go on floors this December.
