‘Padmavati’ Deepika Padukone in Ranveer Singh’s fantasy?

Since Deepika Padukone plays the Queen and Ranveer Singh essays the role of Khilji, they wouldn’t ideally have scenes together.

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious magnum opus – Padmavati – starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor has turned into a reality because the shoot started earlier this month amid much enthusiasm after much speculation. And the latest buzz about the film will make DeepVeer fans extremely delighted.

We know for a fact that Deepika and Ranveer share a special relationship off the screen and fans of the duo will expect to see them share screen space in the film. Going by history, Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji never met each other. Since Deepika plays the Queen and Ranveer essays the role of Khilji, they wouldn’t ideally have scenes together. But keeping in mind DeepVeer’s off screen chemistry and popularity as a couple, SLB has reportedly decided to include a dream sequence.

According to a report in MissMalini.com originally attributed to Zoom, Khilji will fantasise Padmavati.

“Since the real life couple is the big draw of the film, Bhansali has found a way of bringing Deepika and Ranveer together in a romantic song. It will be lavishly shot dream sequence which Khilji will have while thinking about Padmavati. The sequence won’t mess with the story,” Zoom quoted a source as saying.

For the uninitiated, Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to play Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, Padmavati’s husband.

The mega-budget movie with a stellar star cast is slated to release on November 17, 2017.
