An investment banker by profession, Singh opted to give up this lucrative career to make a name for himself at the box-office in Indian cinema.

"I wanted to make movies since I was 7 to 8 years of age. I went to the States to study for 4 years. I was an investment banker for two years. Then, gave up my job in 2002 and came back to India. I wanted to get into the business. I did some work around, assisted a bunch of people and wrote few stories. And, then, finally 'Roy' happened," Singh said.

He further added, "I wrote the script, and then I realized that was the movie I wanted to make. Approached my actors, they seemed game for it. Called producer on board and here we are."

' Roy ' stars Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The movie is set to release on 13th February 2015.
