New Delhi: The highly awaited release of 2016-- 'Udta Punjab' is not banned!
Starring the vivacious Alia Bhatt and handsome Shahid Kapoor, 'Udta Punjab' is attracting the limelight for all the good reasons.
However, rumours were doing rounds that the movie is in trouble for 'excessive swearing' and 'drug consumption'.
Dusting all rumours down to earth, movie's co-producer Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter state the fact the movie is not banned.
For the record ,"Udta Punjab" is not banned. The examining committe has deferred the decision to Revising and due process is on.

And due process takes it own time so please abstain for spreading a BAN rumour. There is nothing to speak on the subject as of now.

A film is banned only when examining, revising and FCAT all three refuse certificate . And then you fight it out in Supreme Court

'Udta Pujab' also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
Helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film is co-produced by Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vikas Bahl.
'Udta Punjab' is all set to hit the silver screens on June 17, 2016.
