Who could have played Mastani, Kashibai had Salman essayed Bajirao’s role?

Had Salman Khan been on board ‘Bajirao Mastani’, who would have played Mastani and Kashibai?

Mumbai: In Sunday’s episode of ‘Bigg Boss’, we could see Salman Khan taking a jibe at Ranveer Singh (in good humour though) for replacing him as Maratha Peshwa in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani.

SLB had wanted to cast Salman as Bajirao and Aishwarya Rai as Mastani soon after the duo’s set the silver screen ablaze with their sizzling hot chemistry in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.

But things didn’t materialise and Bhansali had to look beyond Salman and Ash to find his Bajirao and Mastani.

If we were to assume Salman as Bajirao in the film, who would you have liked as Mastani and Kashibai?

Here’s our take:

We would have certainly loved to see Ash essaying the role of Mastani. She would have pulled off the role in style! Besides Aishwarya, Kareena Kapoor too could have played Mastani. In fact, the Kapoor girl was reportedly being considered by Bhansali for the role.

Madhuri Dixit or Rani Mukerji could have played Kashibai. Both these actresses could have essayed the role convincingly.
