Final Pink Floyd reunion was really very cool: Roger Waters

London: Co-founder of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters said that the last ever reunion of the band was "really very cool".

Waters, 72, Gilmour, keyboard player Richard Wright and drummer Nick Mason performed at Live 8 in London's Hyde Park on July 2, 2005.

It was the first time the four had performed together since Wright left the band in 1981, reported Digital Spy.

"Live 8 I was very happy. (Bob) Geldof called me and said, 'I'm trying to get Gilmour to do this. Will you help?' He said, 'You're the only person who can make that phone call and make it happen'. I went, 'Well, I'll make it. You'll have to give me his number, I've no idea what his phone number is, but sure I'll make the call'.

"I did and immediately he was, 'No', but then obviously at some point he changed his mind, 'Yeah, alright'.And I'm very glad he did because it was a lovely 20 minutes or whatever it was to be on stage with Dave and Nick and Rick one last time. It was really very cool," he said.
