London: Rock band Radiohead has offered a surprise to their fans, a new song which was initially recorded for the latest James Bond film 'Spectre'.
Thom Yorke, frontman of the band, said they were asked to write the theme for the twenty fourth James Bond film last year, but it “didn't work out” well, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
“Last year we were asked to write a tune for Bond movie 'Spectre'. Yes we were. It didn't work out. But became something of our own which we love very much. As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you,” Yorke posted on Twitter on Friday.
Later, singer Sam Smith's single “Writing's on the wall” was chosen as the official theme song for 'Spectre', which starred Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista and Monica Bellucci among others.
