London: Country music superstar Trace Adkins is donating all the proceeds from his upcoming Louisiana show to flood relief efforts in the state.
The "Chrome" singer, who is a Louisiana native, will return home on Saturday for a gig in Vinton.
The proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise will benefit the American Red Cross' efforts to rehouse those worst hit by last month's floods, which cost 13 people their lives and resulted in at least USD 8.7 billion in damages, reported Contactmusic.
Meanwhile, Adkins is to be honoured with the United States Army's Outstanding Civilian Service Award.
The accolade is the third-highest public service honour the Army can bestow upon a civilian.
