Los Angeles: Irish rock band U2 has rescheduled its Sunday Sweden concert due to security breach.
According to a statement posted on the group's website, fans who already started to pack the concert venue at The Globen in Stockholm were evacuated from the building "due to a security breach," reported Aceshowbiz.
"As the breach has not been resolved quickly and as audience safety is paramount, the police have advised The Globen and Live Nation that they have no option but to postpone tonight's show," Bono and team wrote.
The announced that the concert had been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 22.
"All tickets from Sunday 20th September are valid for Tuesday 22nd September. The organisers apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank the audience for their understanding. Their safety is the priority," they said.
The band did not give details about the breach, but it has been reported that the cancellation was prompted by a man armed with gun, who threatened an audience member.
