High ranking Vietnamese naval delegation in Mumbai
Mumbai, Aug 26: A high ranking delegation of the Vietnam`s peoples` navy, led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief Rear Admiral Be Quoc Hung, has called on the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, western naval command Vice Admiral Arun Prakash and discussed defence related issues here.

The delegation, which was here on August 24 and 25,
during its talks focussed on sale of spares for weapons
machinery and engines, a Ministry of Defence release said here
today.
The Vietnamese also showed interest in Indian ship-building and conduct of training for their personnel in various naval disciplines in India, it said.
Hung is on a visit to various naval stations of the Indian Navy.
The cooperation between the navies of the two countries has progressed well during the last three years and commonality of equipment, convergence of views on terrorism, Asean and the Asia-Pacific have been further catalysed towards enhanced cooperation, the release added. Bureau Report
