Gwalior, Oct 29: A split in the crisis-ridden BSP in Madhya Pradesh appeared imminent with the state unit expelling party rebel Phool Singh Baraiyya and his trusted leader Sant Kumar today accusing them of entering into a secret pact to benefit BJP in the assembly polls. "Both Baraiyya and Sant Kumar are being expelled with immediate effect for indulging in anti-party activities and indiscipline," BSP state unit president P P Chaudhary said.
Accusing the duo of "hobnobbing" with BJP, he said Baraiyya, who was ousted from the post of BSP's state unit chief about a month ago, had entered into a "deal" with BJP to benefit it in the December one assembly elections at the expense of the party.
Chaudhary, who replaced Sant Kumar as party chief in the state about a week ago under dramatic circumstances, claimed Kumar was also "hand in glove with Baraiyya to harm BSP's electoral prospects and benefit the BJP".
