Despite hi-tech companies hitting rock-bottom across the world, Infosys Technologies has bagged the top position for 'overall leadership' for the second year running in India, according to a survey. As per Far Eastern Economic Review's annual company survey 'Review 200: Asia's Leading Companies' while Infosys took top position in the Review 200 India poll, Reliance Industries and Wipro remained unchanged in their number two and three slots, respectively.
Hero Honda was ranked fourth while the fifth and sixth slots were taken by Dr Reddy's Lab and Larsen and Toubro, respectively, a release said here on Thursday.
Others who figured in the top-10 positions included Ranbaxy Labs finishing seventh and ITC eighth, Cipla ninth and ICICI at the tenth position, it said.
The survey conduced by ACNielsen International Research (Hong Kong) asked readers to rank 208 multinational corporations in Asia and between 26 and 39 companies in each of 11 countries around the region.
In addition to overall leadership, each company was ranked according to the quality of products and services, the long-term vision of its management, its innovation in responding to customers' needs, its financial soundness and its status as a company that others try to emulate.
