Kochi, Nov 08: Not withstanding the decision of the ruling UDF partners in Kerala to remain united and not seek a confidence vote for the present, senior Congress leader K Karunakaran today continued with his 'Oust Antony' rhetoric, saying there cannot be anything lesser than that. Speaking to reporters at Nedumabassery airport, a belligerent Karunakaran said his 'I' faction would not accept anything other than leadership change.

Asked if the functioning of the government had become stagnant, he said, "There has been no rule so far by the present government, so where is the question of stagnancy?"

It was unlikely that the UDF partners had decided not to seek a confidence vote, he said. Meanwhile, AICC secretary Vayalar Ravi said though the crisis in the Congress continues, it had not worsened.

He told reporters at the airport that the party high command was keen to settle the issue, before it worsens. The high command also did not want to 'hurt' anyone, which 'some friends' had interpreted as 'weakness'. Bureau Report
