New Delhi, Dec 03: Government has asked the CBI to investigate an immigration racket unearthed in the Indian Embassy in the United Kingdom, the Lok Sabha was informed today. Information provided by British authorities has been handed over to CBI, Minister of State for External Affairs Vinod Khanna said in a written reply.
Government is considering suggestion by the National Commission for Women to prevent what is called 'sex tourism' under which tourists, particularly foreign tourists, take "short term brides". A report will be placed on the table of the House, the Minister told Renuka Chowdhury.
