Nagercoil, Oct 27: Kerala Government has responded positively to Tamil Nadu government's suggestion to allow Kanyakumari fishermen to fish off Kochi coast without any opposition from local fishermen, a senior official said today. Speaking at a meeting organised by the fishermen in Erayummanthurai, Tamil Nadu fisheries department Secretary Viswanath Shegonkar said the Kerala fisheries department has assured that steps would be taken for settling the issue amicably. Shegonkar accompanied Health Minister Thalaivai Sundram during his visit to fishermen's colony in Eraymmanthurai and Thuroor. Bureau Report
