Bhopal, Oct 27: In a significant development ahead
of assembly polls in the state, BSP's Madhya Pradesh general
secretary Sunil Borse and four other functionaries were
expelled from the party today for 'anti-party' activities.
The others who were expelled were Bhanwar Singh Gangwal,
party incharge in Ujjain district, Jainarayan Sagar, Gwalior
Incharge, Mahesh Jatav, Budwani district unit president and
Ramhit Atal of Gwalior, party sources said here.
The move assumes significance as it comes close on the heels of the appointment of P P Chaudhary as the new president of the state BSP unit by party supremo Mayawati.
"The leaders have been expelled from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect for their involvement in anti-party activities," a statement signed by Chaudhary said. Barely a month ago, Phool Singh Baraiya had been removed from the post of state BSP president and Sant Kumar appointed as the state party chief.
In a dramatic move last week, Sant Kumar was replaced by Chaudhary.
