Police remand of Raja Bhaiyya, three others extended
Faizabad, May 30: A local court here today extended till July 25 the police remand of Independent jailed MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh and three others in connection with a murder case in Sultanpur district.
Faizabad, May 30: A local court here today extended till July 25 the police remand of Independent jailed MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh and three others in connection with a murder case in Sultanpur district.
Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya, alongwith Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopalji, Shaturghan Singh and Aashish Singh, were produced before additional district judge and in-charge of Gangster Act court S S Raudra here which extended their remand till July 25 next.
The court premises was jam packed with advocates and people who vied with each other for a glimpse of Raja Bhaiyya.
Tight security arrangements were made at the court and nobody including reporters were allowed to talk to the jailed MLA.
According to official sources, all four accused were booked under the Gangster's Act in connection with murder of one Ramanand Pandey under Piparpur police station in Sultanpur district on August 24 last year, and a FIR was lodged by Ms Sushila Pandey naming Shatrughan Singh and Aashish Singh in the murder case.
Raja Bhaiyya and Gopalji were also booked in the case on charges of conspiracy leading to murder.
