Kolkata, Oct 20: A three-member Nepalese Communist Party delegation led by its general secretary Madhav Nepal called on West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee at the state secretariat, writers' buildings. Describing the meeting as a 'courtesy call', Nepal, a former deputy prime minister, told newsmen that the discussion with the Chief Minister was confined to Indo-Nepal bilateral relations and that with West Bengal.

To a question he said that his party would take steps soon to bring back to the political mainstream Maoists in his country.

"Nepal is facing innumerable problems at present. Despite this we shall make all-out efforts to protect our country's sovereignty and democracy," he said.
