Indore, Aug 07: Strongly condemning Madhya Pradesh
government's decision to impose community fine on the people
of majority community in Dhar district for alleged involvement
in the violence over opening of locks of the controversial
Bhojshala, Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) today warned of a
"befitting reply" by the people against the order.
"People would give a befitting reply to the decision at an appropriate time to Chief Minister Digvijay Singh", HJM coordinator Radheshyam Yadav told.
He alleged that it was the administration which had perpetrated the violence on innocent people in the district during the agitation launched by HJM for reopening the locks of Bhojshala.
Even the community fine was imposed on those whose cases were pending in the courts in this regard as the administration has invoked the provisions of National Security Act (NSA) on some of its workers.
The state government yesterday published an order in the newspapers issued by the Home Ministry, regarding imposition of a fine of over Rs 70 lakh on the people of Badnawar, Utawad and Bagdi towns in the district for their involvement in the violence during the HJM-led agitation for reopening the locks of Bhojshala in February.
