London, July 05: England captain David Beckham, who recently signed for Spanish giants Real Madrid, has told of his desire to travel to the moon once his playing days are over, a British newspaper reported yesterday.
"After I've stopped playing I intend to take a year off, maybe longer. I'll do whatever (wife) Victoria's doing, take a holiday and do all the things I can't do as a footballer. What I want to do is travel to the moon," he told the Daily Star.
"One day I hope to do it -- if it's possible by the time I retire. The thought of me going terrifies Victoria, but I'd really love to do it," added the 28-year-old, who this week was officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player on a four-year contract following his move from Manchester United.
