Lucknow, May 19: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today denied reports that he had decided to resign from the membership of the Lok Sabha and would prefer to continue as the chief minister of the state. "No such decision has been taken so far in this regard," Yadav told here this evening.

He said any decision regarding my continuance as member of Lok Sabha or state legislative assembly would be taken by the party.

"I continue to be the chief minister of the state and also a member of the Lok Sabha," Yadav said.

Yadav's comments came in the backdrop of Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh's reported remarks to news persons in New Delhi that "Yadav has chosen the post of chief minister over membership of Parliamnet and would resign from the Lok Sabha.”
