Tikrit, Nov 08: The US army has arrested a onetime bodyguard of fallen dictator Saddam Hussein in the northern oil city of Kirkuk, a military spokeswoman said today. Major Josslyn Aberle of the 4th Infantry Division said the bodyguard, arrested late Thursday, was involved in "anti-coalition activities" but did not provide his name.
Saddam has been on the run from the US military since Baghdad fell on April 09 and has a USD 25-million price on his head.
Kirkuk, which sits on major oil reserves, has been hit by a spate of attacks on Iraqi police and the US military since October.
