New Delhi, Dec 07: Delhi Police today claimed to have foiled terrorists' plan to strike in the capital by arresting three persons in two separate incidents and recovering a large quantity of arms and ammunition.

Police arrested Tarif Hussein and Tazim Mohammed belonging to Hizbul Muzahidin Pir Panjal Range (HMPPR) from Khanpur area of south Delhi late this evening following specific information, police sources said.
Two AK 56 rifles, four magazines, six hand grenades, 120 rounds of ammunitions, 4.3 kg of RDX, two detonators and Rs 15 lakh in cash were recovered from their possession, they said.
The two were believed to have sneaked into the capital and were possibly planning some strike here, they said.
They were being interrogated by a joint team of police and intelligence officials regarding their exact intention, police said.
Police arrested last night a Pakistan-trained terrorist, who was allegedly in the capital to set up a base, police sources said.
Rashid Qureshi,(40), who hails from Uri in Kashmir, was nabbed in north-west Delhi following specific information, the sources told reporters.
