Centre to train Jharkhand police for tackling naxalites: Sinha
Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Oct 26: A high-power team from the Union Home Ministry along with experts will visit Jharkhand shortly to train the state police in tackling naxalite violence, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha said today.

They would assess the type of weapons required to take on the Maoist communist centre and peoples war, particularly in the Chotanagpur division, Sinha told reporters.
During a high-level meeting between Deputy Prime Minister, L K Advani and Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda in Delhi last week the growing activities of naxalite outfits and measures to check their influence was thoroughly discussed, Sinha, who was present during the meeting, said.
Sinha expressed grave concern over the spurt in naxalite violence in Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Chatra and Giridih districts of Jharkhand and said that the menace was hampering the development process of the newly created Jharkhand state.
In reply to a question, Sinha, member of Parliament from Hazaribagh, said there was no proposal with the BJP Central leadership for changing Chief Minister Arjun Munda.
But, the BJP Central leadership told Munda to expedite the development process in the state and create more employment opportunities for the youths, he said.
