New Delhi: Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's '2 States', based on the novel of Chetan Bhagat by the same name was a superhit film of 2014. And now guess what? The film will be remade in Telugu and is set to star the reportedly real-life couple—Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya in the lead.
According to India.com, Abhishek Nama paid a whopping Rs 55 lakh to purchase the rights of the film from Karan Johar. The Telugu remake version will see Samantha as a Malayali girl while Naga will play a Telugu boy. No confirmation has been made as yet about the lead pair, but reports suggest that the makers are keen on signing this real-life couple. The film might be helmed by Venkat Kuchem, reports suggest.
Let's see if the Telugu version of '2 States' creates the same buzz as the Hindi one did!
