Lucknow, Aug 11: President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam will visit the state capital today, official sources said. The President will arrive at the Amausi airport at 1105 hrs and take part in the silver jubliee celebrations of the Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) at 1130 hrs, the sources said.

Later, he will attend a function at the Lucknow Public College at 1245 hrs and leave for Gorakhpur at 1545 hrs, they said.
This is the first visit of Dr Kalam to Lucknow after becoming President of India.
