Pondicherry, Sept 23: An annual grant of Rs 5750 each has been given to 50 temples in the union territory, which were starved of funds to meet the expenditure for daily poojas. The grant was given away by Chief Minister N Rangasamy yesterday.

The annual grant includes Rs 5,000 for poojas, Rs 500 to meet the power tariff expenditure and Rs 250 towards water taxes.
