Lucknow, July 06: The Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayanendra Saraswati`s five-point formula for resolution of the Ayodhya dispute sought a no objection statement from the All India Muslim Personal Law board for construction of a temple on the "undisputed acquired area".
The formula, which was made public for the first time, also suggested that discussions on the disputed area for an amicable settlement could be initiated sometime after an agreement was reached on the undisputed area.
Giving details of the formula, AIMPLB spokesman Y H Muchala at a press conference, today said that the seer had "requested the board to consider giving a no objection statement regarding construction of a temple on the undisputed/acquired area."
The second point said that "the disputed area can also be discussed after some time and an amicable settlement may be given to the court and the court, based on the settlement, can give verdict," he said.
The third suggestion by the Kanchi seer was to protect the disputed area for which "a wall may be constructed separating it from undisputed/acquired area," Muchala said.
According to the fourth point "if we reach a final negotiated settlement on the undisputed area, we shall both ensure the support for the same from the various religious groups/sub-groups on each side to ensure that no further demands would be raised on the undisputed area."
According to the fifth point by the Shankaracharya "once we arrive at a cordial understanding we may together approach the Government of India for its effective and time bound implementation," Muchala said.
