Paramaribo (Surinam), June 07: On the occasion of the world Hindi conference here, a committee has been constituted for propagation of the language in Europe with its headquarters in London. In the first meeting of Europe Hindi Committee, Mohan Kant Gautam of Holland was chosen the chairman of the committee and Maria Nejyesi of Hungary and Ludmila Vazilyeva of Russia as vice-chairpersons. Titiksha Shah of England would be its secretary general.
Padmesh Gupta of the British Hindi Committee told that the European Hindi body had unanimously passed a resolution urging government of India to hold the next world Hindi conference in Holland which had nearly two lakh Hindi speaking people.
The committee would organise a workshop of Hindi teachers of Europe in England next year. Bureau Report
