Gurdaspur, Aug 21: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today said the state vigilance bureau would present the chargesheet in court against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Parkash Singh Badal in the graft case in October or November. "Before presenting the chargesheet, Badal would be given a questionnaire to reply about the charges framed against him," Singh told reporters after inaugurating the bridge on Beas river near here.

"VB has enough evidences against Badal's amassing of wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income," he said, adding the police would not hesitate to arrest Badal and his family members if the court gives permission. When asked if he will be able to eradicate corruption in Punjab after "exposing" Badal and his family. Singh said his crusade against corruption had sent a right message and it has reduced to a great extent.

About action against "corrupt BJP leaders" in previous SAD-BJP government, he said BJP leaders were "comparatively clever and have concealed their illegally amassed wealth".

The Vigilance Bureau is looking into the matter and will strike at an opportune time, he said adding no corrupt minister would be spared. The Chief Minister said a case has been registered regarding hooliganism in front of Union Minister Vinod Khanna during the SAD-BJP rally near Naushehra Pattan yesterday.

"Those found guilty, irrespective of their public status, will be brought to book", he added.
