Jammu, Oct 30: Army troops today took into custody 10 nationals of Bangladesh at two different border outposts (BoPs) in R S Pura sector of Jammu district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here. Eight of them were apprehended at BoP Badyal Brahmna while trying to cross over to Pakistan via International Border, they said, adding two others were taken into custody at BoP Makwal when they were moving suspiciously towards IB.
After preliminary questioning they would be handed over to police for further investigation, sources said.
The citizens of Bangladesh are usually lured by agents on false promise of providing them jobs and brought here by train then asked to cross over the border, they said, adding hundreds of Bangladesh and Myanmar nationals have been arrested near IB during this year.
