Mumbai, Sept 30: Leading film financier Bharat Shah, producer Nasim Rizvi and his assistant Abdul Rahim Allah Baksh were today convicted by a special court for forging links with the underworld to target film personalities for personal gains. However, designated Judge A P Bhangale did not find Shah guilty under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The judge acquitted co-accused and Dubai-based businessman Mohammed Shamshuddin alias Bhatija of the charges for lack of evidence. The court will decide on the quantum of punishment after hearing all parties tomorrow.
