Kolkata, Feb 27: At least 30 people were killed when the superfast Kanchenjunga Express slammed into a truck, carrying a marriage party, at an unmanned level crossing in north Dinajpur district of West Bengal on Friday, railway sources said.
The killed were all occupants of the truck, the sources said adding the accident occurred between Suraj Kamal and Kanke railway stations, some 100 kms from Jalpaiguri, at 5:10 pm.

Senior railway officials, including the north frontier additional general manager, had rushed to the scene, the sources said.
The number of injured was not known, they said. Bureau Report
