Patiala, Nov 04: Punjabi singer Sukhwinder Singh Mann alias Sukha Delhiwala, arrested in connection with a human trafficking case yesterday, was remanded to a day's police custody by a court here today. The order was pronounced by duty magistrate S S Mann after Sukha was produced before him by police. A case was registered against Mann, his brother Mukhwinder Mann, wife Kamaljit Mann and secretary and brother-in-law Paramjit Singh on the complaint of one Balbir Singh who alleged that the singer failed to take his two sons abroad after allegedly taking the first installment of Rs eight lakh out of Rs 16 lakh demanded by him. Mann is the third singer to have been booked by police in human trafficking case.
Balbir Singh, a resident of Noorkhedi village near here, had alleged that the singer had promised to take his two sons Pargat Singh and Pushpinder Singh abroad after fixing an alliance with two girls reported to be settled in the US, but failed to do so.
