Religious atmosphere created in Nasik and Trimbakeshwar
Nasik, Aug 03: With just nine days left for the first `shahi snan` (royal bath), in connection with the `kumbh mela`, at Trimbakeshwar town, which houses one of the 12 jyotirlingas, thousands of sadhus belonging to ten different akhadas are now engaged in preparation for the August 12 royal procession and bath.
Nasik, Aug 03: With just nine days left for the first 'shahi snan' (royal bath), in connection with the 'kumbh mela', at Trimbakeshwar town, which houses one of the 12 jyotirlingas, thousands of sadhus belonging to ten different akhadas are now engaged in preparation for the August 12 royal procession and bath.
As many as 10,000 sadhus and their chiefs have already arrived at Trimbakeshwar even as the district administration and Trimbakeshwar municipal council are giving final touches to the preparation.
Meanwhile, Mahant Parmananda Saraswati, national president of Shri Shambhu Panch Dashnam Juna Akhada announced that mahants and sadhus belonging to ten akhadas will participate in the bath.
The ten akhadas, based at Trimbakeshwar, were engaged in making food and lodging arrangements for the visiting sadhus.
Meanwhile, Mahant Parmananda Saraswati, national president of Shri Shambhu Panch Dashnam Juna Akhada announced that mahants and sadhus belonging to ten akhadas will participate in the bath.
The ten akhadas, based at Trimbakeshwar, were engaged in making food and lodging arrangements for the visiting sadhus.
Sadhugrams, both in Nasik and Trimbakeshwar, were flooded with sadhus and pilgrims.
Sadhus have also reached Nasik for the first holy bath and procession on August 17.
