Bangalore, May 08: Nutrine Confectionery Company has decided to foray into exports, a move that's coming 50 years after its inception.
The company's Director V Dinesh Reddy said that the company has identified markets in West Asia, the UK, Australia and America for exports of its 'Naturo' fruit bars which are fruit-based products.
Reddy said the company, which claims a marketshare of close to 28 per cent in the domestic sugar confectionary industry, is currently engaged in matters pertaining to striking marketing and distribution tie-ups in the overseas markets and shipments are expected soon.
The company, he said, has commenced production of Naturo products at its new facility, with European technology, at Hoskote in Bangalore Rural district having a production capacity of 200 tonnes per month.
Nutrine, established in 1953, is projecting Naturo bars as healthy and nutritious product for all age groups. Right now, they are available in four variants -- mango, pineapple, apple and organe papaya, he said, adding more value-added products under the brand would be launched soon.
