New Delhi, May 19: As the hearing on the bail plea of Munish Dalal, accused in the Noida dowry demand case, got postponed for a day today following a local lawyers' strike, the girl Nisha's father asserted he would fight and take the case to its logical conclusion. Munish and his mother's bail petitions, which was to come up for hearing before a local court in Noida, was adjourned for tomorrow on account of a day-long strike by lawyers, sources said.
Meanwhile, Nisha's father D D Sharma claimed that some of his close relatives were putting pressure on him to withdraw the case against Munish and his family.
"They are common relatives of both the family. They are now putting pressure through my mother to withdraw the case," Sharma informed.
Asserting that he would not withdraw the case under any circumstance, Sharma said "I will ensure that Dalals get proper punishment for their sin."
Meanwhile, Nisha was today honoured with the Rajiv Gandhi Sadhbhawna award by the Indian National Sikh Youth Forum. Senior Congress leader and former union minister Arjun Singh was present on the occasion.
"It is time for the new generation to stand-up against dowry demand," she said.
Police had arrested Munish and his mother over allegations that they had demanded dowry from Nisha's family forcing the latter to call off the marriage. Sleuths are still on the look out for Munish's aunt. Bureau Report
