Bangalore, Aug 22: Opener Shiv Sundar Das today said
he was keen to do well in the upcoming Irani Cup as well as
two warm-up games against the visiting New Zealand side to
force his way back in the national cricket side ahead of the
home series.
"I want to do really well in the Irani Cup and two side-games against New Zealand," Das told reporters at the conditioning camp for Indian probables here.
Das led India "A" on the recent tour of England except for one-day games where the side was captained by Hemang Badani.
"After the West Indies tour, I did not do well in England, where Virender Sehwag and Sanjay Bangar did well. I had a good England tour with India "A" where I got more than 400 runs. Now I am looking forward to do well in Irani Cup and two side-matches against New Zealand," he said.
India "A" tour of England was a good experience, Das said, adding, the batsmen and medium-pacers really did well.

Leading the side was "challenging" but satisfying, especially its performance against South Africa, and the fact that the team did not lose a single match.
Das was disappointed to be excluded from the India
"A" one-day team as he was really looking forward to limited
overs games. "But one has to go by the decision of the
selectors," he said.
