Zug (Switzerland), Sept 24: German tennis legend Boris Becker is moving to Switzerland and has set up a marketing company in the Swiss canton of Zug.
The three-time Wimbledon champion has been involved in a tax dispute with officials in Munich who claim he still owes around 660,000 euros in unpaid tax.
"I am happy about my life in Switzerland. Friends have spoken most highly about the advantages of this country," Becker said in a statement released by his spokesman yesterday. "However, I will of course continue to be loyal to Germany," he added.
Apart from its Alpine scenery and undisturbed quality of life, Switzerland has also built up a reputation for its banking secrecy rules.

The 35-year-old is setting up a partnership called "Boris Becker and Co." With business partner Hans-Dieter Cleven's BCI holding in Zug.
"Two years ago with BCI we started this business in Switzerland, now with my participation and my move the last step will be completed," Becker said.
Cleven underlined Switzerland's virtues including its "healthy financial system and relatively sensible tax burden."
"It's no coincidence that German sports stars such as Michael Schumacher and (cyclist) Jan Ullrich have chosen Switzerland as their home," cleven added in the statement.
