Congress government in Chhattisgarh, Wednesday tried to table an official resolution in the assembly condemning the NDA government on the expose of corruption by a portal, leading to adjournment of the house amidst uproarious scenes. As the house assembled for the day, the treasury bench members including several ministers hurled accusations against the BJP president Bangaru Laxman for his alleged involvement in corruption in defence deals.
Home Minister Nand Kumar Patel and parliamentary affairs minister Rabindra Choube tried to table a "condemnation resolution" against the Union government for "alleged involvement of its ministers in corrupt deals". The move was vociferously opposed by the BJP members who rushed to the well of the house levelling counter-charges against Congress for its involvement in corruption in Bofors deal.

BJP members led by Brij Mohan Agrawal and Mahesh Tiwari also raised slogans against the chief minister Ajit Jogi for alleged kickbacks in "cement price fixing and purchasing". Speaker R P Shukla adjourned the house twice for half-an-hour and an hour before finally adjourning it for the day without transacting any business amidst slogans and counter slogans from both the benches.
