Srinagar, July 04: Radical Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen and Tehreek-e-Jehad-e-Islami jointly claimed responsibility for the attack on rural development and Panchayati Paj minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir today, in which one civilian was killed. A spokesman of Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen telephoned news organisations here and claimed that his outfit and Tehreek-e-Jehad-e-Islami jointly carried out the attack.

The minister suffered minor splinter wounds on his leg in the attack while 12 others, including three of his police guards, were injured.
